Sisters: Central Indiana Family Photographer

Hannah and Chrissy

I had a photo session with my two gorgeous cousins this week. I had so much fun getting to spend some time with the two of them. I did not re-touch their eyes in any of these photos; they both have the most beautiful eyes! I love you both so much and hope you like the pictures! These are only just a few of my favorites! I will say no more, and let the photos speak for me. :)

Pet Session: Central Indiana Pet Photographer

When I was approached about taking pictures of a woman's two dogs I was completely up for the challenge. I have never done any pet photography before so this was going to be a first; and a challenge for me. I've heard from many people that animals, dogs especially, are hard to photograph due to the fact that they are constantly moving about. Some animals are even camera shy and won't even consider looking near the lens. When I met the lady and her two hyper dogs, I found that they were more willing than I expected to sit and pose for me while I shot away! When I got too close to one of the dogs she could hear my camera click and it frightened her a little bit. It was super hot that day and during an afternoon so the dogs were ready to go back inside as soon as I finished. I was so happy with how these turned out and would really love to do more pet photos in the future!

Mini-Session: Central Indiana Children's Photographer

This week I had a very awesome Mini-Session with two incredibly gorgeous girls! They didn't mind the heat one bit and smiled despite the sun on us for most of the time. Both girls have the most beautiful hair and eyes! Thank you so much ladies for your patience; you are the best! I hope you like the photos!

Blog Header Help

Hey everyone!

After looking at all of your awesome blogs this evening, I was wondering if you all would mind giving me any tips, hints or tricks about blog headers. I don't like the one I have because I think it is too big and "out there". It looks more like it should be a flier instead of a blog header. If you have any websites I could go to that would help, or even some of your own ideas on what I could do for my blog would be greatly appreciated! I want the transition from my website to my blog to be similar and smooth, so backgrounds, layouts etc would be wonderful to suggest to me as well.

Here is my website: Jo Bekah Photography

All ideas and especially CC is welcome!! Thank you so much!

It's an Ice-Cream kind of Day

After a long, hot, day of being at the ball park, what could be better than coming home to an nice cold ice-cream cone? What could create a better photo opportunity than little guys and ice cream? You can sure tell they were enjoying it! :) These two are cousins- and best friends!

I thought this outtake was just too funny not to post! :D

Thanks for stopping by the blog!
Please leave some comment love on the way out and let me know you stopped by!

What to do on a rainy day....

Tuesday I packed up my gear, called some friends, and took a trip to Mounds State Park. The weather was looking rather like rain, and we almost canceled the trip. We all decided in the end to just go, if it rained we would seek shelter. One of the guys made some fires in the shelter house but we were all itching for some trails and quickly abandoned the warmth of the shelter for the open air of a trail. Since their were quite a few little ones with us, we chose a trail that was the least rugged but also had a very scenic view of the river. All of the photographers in the group got left behind very quick as we were stopping to take pictures along the path. The "non-photographers" went on up to the nature center with the "little's" and the rest of us went farther along the trail.

This is me and my best friend Kimberly enjoying the afternoon. Thanks to Maddy for taking this picture!

Took a few of little Seth! Isn't he the cutest?! We have a photo session next week, I have a ton of props to try on him and can't wait!

These three have been best friends for as long as i can remember! Aren't they beautiful?

This was such a beautiful trail! I'm so glad it was cloudy out; there was such wonderful lighting!

I absolutely love this picture of this little creek!

I spotted this makeshift stairway on our way back up the trail and instanly was in love! It was such a magical place.

The way home......

I hope you enjoyed these pictures! Please leave some comment love on your way out!

Spring Showers

Today was one of those curl-up-with-a-good-book kind of days. It rained and was pretty chilly. I couldn't resist going out to take a few photos! I love to take pictures just after a good rain! I am in great need of an umbrella because my camera got soaked before I even realized it. :( I had to bring it in and dry it out. The first photo is something I'd been wanting to try for a long time, I just was never brave enough to lay down in the wet cement and let water splash up into my lens. I'm glad I risked it though! I really like the way these turned out. :)

(Please leave some comment love! :)
